The peony garden has been a generous donation to us in memory of a woman who specialized in gardening peonies. She had lived a generous 96 years and loved the beautiful peonies in her yard for many years.

In Spring of 2004, 76 peonies were transplanted from the donor's yard to a temporary holding bed in the Garden.

The Garden will continue to work to cultivate a specially-designed peony garden for the peony lovers to come and enjoy this incredible collection.

Plants Used

  • 74 Peonies: varieties unknown.

  • The Garden is working with volunteers from the Peony Society to identify and label the varieties
